Local businesses have once again got behind the popular Stone Food and Drink Festival as it prepares to move to new summer dates this year.
From sponsorship to running events, providing business services and volunteers, Staffordshire businesses of all sizes have pledged their support for the event, which will take place on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th July 2022.
Renowned Stone live music venue, bar and bistro Granville’s has come on board as an official sponsor for the first time this year; generously sponsoring the Demonstration Kitchen, which will see top local chefs demonstrate their skills across the ‘big weekend’.
Meanwhile, long-term supporters Lexus Stoke will this time sponsor the popular Live Music Stage – which will feature a mix of great local live acts supported by performances from the talented youngsters of Stone’s Rooftop Studios performing arts academy.
Also continuing its support of the event is Joule’s Brewery, which will this year sponsor the Talks & Tastings Tent with its packed programme of talks from passionate producers.
Other businesses are offering important services free of charge – including local waste management specialist, Browns Recycling, which is again helping the festival ensure none of its waste goes into landfill, and Oulton Road tech specialist ABB, which is kindly providing its car park as the base for the festival’s Park & Ride service.
Festival Chairman, Richard Stevens, commented:
“We are hugely grateful to all the businesses that get involved in the festival for their generous support. The event costs a huge amount to set up logistically and, as a non for profit CIC, we rely on sponsorship to help make the event sustainable – especially important in the aftermath of the pandemic, so a big thanks to Granville’s, Lexus Stoke and Joule’s for their generosity. We’d also like to say a big thanks to all the other local businesses that support the event – there are too many to list them all individually but every one of them helps ensure the festival is a success.”
High Street businesses are also getting involved in the event, with members of the Stone Traders’ Group running events and special offers in the week running up and over the ‘big weekend’ in their shops, pubs, bars and eateries.
Tickets for the festival, which will take place at Westbridge Park on Fri 15, Sat 16 & Sun 17 July are on sale now at www.stonefooddrink.org.uk
