The Gourmet Food Marquee - - from 10.00 am

Bigger and better than last year! More stalls, more to see, more to taste, more to do, cookery demonstrations, beer and wine tastings, kiddies activities and rides, live music - and much much more! Admission £4 per adult. Children free.

  

Cookery Demonstrations - The Trentham Demonstration Kitchen , all ceramics for the demonstration will be supplied by Portmerion

Demonstrations will take place throughout the day approximately every hour in the Trentham Demonstation Kitchen next to the Gourmet Food Marquee. For further details look at the Demonstrations page on this website and the Notice Board outside the Kitchen marquee.

All cookery demonstrations are free of charge.

 Beer and Wine Tastings - The Titanic Tasting Marquee

Wine and Beer tastings will take place throughout the day in the Titanic marquee next to the Gourmet Food Marquee. Full details will be found on this website and on the Notice Board outside the marquee.

 

Basic Wine Tasting By James Gillespie of Touchstone Wines - The Titanic Marquee - 11.30 am

Learn how to taste wine. James will take you through the stages of wine tasting, sit and relax with a couple of glasses of red and white wine while learning about tasting.

This is a ticketed event . Tickets £2.50 available on the day from Westbridge park or on sale now from the Festival office and Touchstone Wines Lichfield Road

 

The Great Oatcake Challenge - the Trentham Estate Demonstration Kitchen Marquee - 12 oclock  - Hosted by Janine Machin

What's your favourite oatcake filling? Inspired Film and Video are inviting budding chefs to send in their recipes and the best 10 will be cooked and then judged on taste appearance and originality.The winning oatcake recipe will be included on the menu at Granvilles here in Stone. The winner's prize is a meal for 2 at the restaurant.

Old Schoolhouse Wines Andrew Wilson 2.30pm

Today Andrew Wilson will be showcasing his favourite Italian wines in "Beyond Chianti" Andrew will be illustrating the fine wines from the smaller wine producers. All tasings will involve sampling at least 8 wines and will last for about an hour. Tickets £7.50 on the day.

Canal Cruising Open Day - Crown Street - All day

Have you ever fancied a canal cruising holiday? Well, today you can take a look around a holiday canal cruiser and find out all there is to know. Karen and Peter Wyatt will be on hand to answer any questions.And while you are here come and inspect a working dry dock and workshop.  

 

Staffordshire Real Ale bonanza in The Swan!

Geof Blundell has done it again. Throughout Festival week, The Swan will have real ales from sixteen, yes sixteen, Staffordshire breweries on tap! No wonder the Swan is the acknowleged real ale pub in Stone.

Custodio Pinto will be serving up his own very special tapas dishes throughout the week in addition to his usual menu.

Game and Wine - Stone Railway Station Community Centre - 2.00 p.m.

James Gillespie of Touchstone Wines will be matching his wines to the game dishes prepared by Tony Panter of March Hare Kitchens. This is Sunday Dinner with a difference! Tickets are limited and available only from Touchstone Wines 

 

The Sunday Joint - a combined churches celebration - The Trentham Kitchen 5.00 p.m.

 The combined schools choir will sing, also a fabulous youth band will play to a gathering of local churches to celebrate the gift of food and drink. All welcome

 

A Jazz 'Festival Finale' - Granvilles - 8.00 p.m.

Nicky has done it again. She was well known for her Games Nights when she had The Vine and we suspect that this might be equally unusual - especially as she tells us the compere is Master Lee Forsyth (and she said it with a straight face!). A fun night is guaranteed plus Staffordshire ale and cheeses.

 

End of Festival Quiz - The Talbot - 8.30 p.m.

After a hectic week of food and drink, test your 'grey matter' in the Talbot's end of Festival Quiz. And we're sure they'll have some real ale left for you!
